José Pierre begins work on CD ROM version of L'Univers
Surrealiste
and plans a comprehensive exhibition for
Paris in 1999.
Maldoror Park , Diversité Surréaliste 1935-1995
(group exhibition, including Ladislav Guderna and Gregg
Simpson with Wifredo Lam, Jacques Herold, Kurt Seligmann, Pierre
Alechinsky
and others) at the Centre
d'Exposition, Université de Montréal, Montreal,
Québec.
Exhibition is organized by Gilles Petitclerc, utilizing works
from the collection of Edouard Jaguer, founder of the Phases Movement.

Gregg Simpson exhibits
frottage drawings in the Salle du Couvent, Seillans, France, last home
of Max Ernst.
The Salle du Couvent is located next to the
Max Ernst-Dorothea Tanning Archives.
2002:
West Coast Dreamers, Exhibition Centre, Harrison Hot
Springs,
B.C. included Robert Davidson, Leo Labelle, Pnina Granirer,
Martin Guderna, Gregg
Simpson, Ricardo Spinace, and
Lunar Suede.
2003:
Michel P. Christensen:
Mary at the Altar of the Brain-Bending Sex Hormone
Collage from the journal, Exile, 2001
Michel Christensen, formerly of the National Museums of Canada is a
major collector of the West Coast Surrealists
and now makes collages for publications, such as Parrot Fever,
with Joe Rosenblatt.
2004:
Gregg Simpson
exhibits with
Amy
Ernst in
Contemporary
Surrealism at
Gallery Zero in Barcelona, Spain. They have
subsequently exhibited
together at the
Carteret Gallery, in
Morehead
City, North Carolina. and together online at

2005:
A group exhibition was held at the
Museo Granell in
Santiago de Compostela, Spain,
entitled
West
Coast Surreal, A
Canadian Perspective co-organized with director, Natalia
Segarra. The exhibition
featured the work of Gregg Simpson, Pnina
Granirer, Martin Guderna and Gordon Payne.
