Surrealist Charcoals, 1980-1989
.
The works from this series are related to the oil paintings in the Terra Firma Series of 1980. They are a combination of organic
        figurations
and iconic objects, which emerge from abstracted landscapes, or glow under a black night sky.  One work, Objects of Affection
         was inspired by
meeting European Surrealist painter, Ladislav Guderna, who moved to Vancouver in the late 1970's.
