TRIBAL DYNAMICS  1987-89

These works in charcoal reflect the research which Simpson has done for decades on the similarities between ancient
cultures in the Old and New worlds. As with the paintings in the Tribal Dynamics  series, there are inferences of shared rituals
and symbols like those reported  in the writings of Harvard scholar, Dr. Barry Fell.
