Metaphysical Interiors
1972-1975
| The works in this period were influenced by the Italian Metaphysical painters of the early 20th century, such as Giorgio de Chirico and Carlo Carra. This series was a continuation of the neo-surrealist imagery the artist had been associated with since the early 70's and also represent an homage to Mediterranean classicism with poetic interpretations of mythology, symbols and references to legends such as Atlantis. |
