Tribal Dynamics
1987-1990
Read About the Series

Tribal Dynamics developed in parallel with the  Megalithic Series, whith its references to the
neolithic alignments of stones found in western Europe. In these works, Simpson attempted to combine his  research on these early European cultures with the rituals and mythology associated with Amerinidian cultures such as the Maya, Aztec and Olmecs.

In these works Simpson used a kind of "ritual abstraction" to speculate on possible contact between these two trans-Atlantic cultures in pre-history, notions given some credibility by the recent discovery of what appeared to be Phonecian inscriptions in Peru. The books of Prof. Barry Fell of Harvard University also document many interesting discoveries which led him to the conclusion that there had been such contacts.
