The paintings and charcoal drawings in the Striations series evoke a feeling of the west coast rainforest where indistinct shapes, part anthropoid form and part landscape hover in a shimmer of streaks or a cascade of coloured rain. Included in this series are canvases in acrylic or oil, pastels, mixed media and charcoal drawings which make up the Striations series along with the accompanying Slatscapes, a flattened variation on the descending vertical elements. |
